It seems to me that a journalism degree is pretty useless nowadays.
In an age when most teenagers spend more time online than in the real world, the "blog" era has emerged with full force. I mean, what can you NOT find online? There are blogs for recipes, news, celebrity gossip, fashion, weight loss, and even dogs.
Being a former livejournal user, I decided to branch out in the "blogging" world and see what blogspot had to offer. I don't really know what direction this blog will take, but I expect to post here from time to time with my "tiny pieces of gold"--er, my precious and not-so-precious memories, so to speak.
I'm not using this as a way to get my ideas out there for everyone. In fact, I don't expect anyone I know to read this or come across it at all except by mere chance. I have always thought that when one writes for an audience they aren't necessarily as open and honest as they would be if they were writing for no one or simply for themselves. It will be interesting to see what I can come up with.
If you do stumble upon this I do invite you to read it. I can't promise that it won't be a huge waste of time, but it may amuse you or entertain you. And I have always been a fan of smiles.
